NYC - Day 3

Saturday was our Central Park day!! We walked there, got breakfast on the way and ate it in the park, then went to rent bikes.

So, central park was a dissapointment on bikes!!! I would not rent bikes again there! First of all, you can only ride on one road, the ring road around it, not on any paths between. So it feels like you're passing everything without going to go in and actually see it! Plus the road is a one-way road, so you just have to keep going, and if you pass where you wanted to go, you're kind of hooped. We asked the bike rental store where to lock up bikes so we could stop to walk and they assured us they were all over. Well they weren't!! We found 2 in the whole park! So when you do get close to what you want to go see, you can't just stop and lock up your bike. That was super annoying. So we biked the whole park- about 6 miles, then got back to the beginning (the South side) and walked to everything we wanted to see.

I would definitly go back to Central Park, just NOT on bikes.
The park is so cool! Paths galore, fountains, food vendors, a castle, playgrounds, a skating rink, GIANT ponds, row boats and I heard there's swimming too but we didn't see that. Iconic Central Park!

Stopped to check out the MET.....we didn't go inside because we were worried about our bikes that we locked to the fence

Then we biked 2 blocks over to see the temple. So neat just tucked in there with all those buildings! The church is the main floor, the temple is above.

And then, we biked to the Plaza that we wanted to see! AND there was a wedding just starting! The guests all showed up together in a chartered bus and they were dressed SO FANCY! Like ball gowns and tuxes! I wanted to slip into that wedding so bad!

So by now, we were about done so we returned the bikes and went back to the hotel to change (we were cold). We were walking to dinner and passed the theatre where Waitress played. They had 2 seats in the 3rd row left so we grabbed them! Looking back, we should've walked by the 'Come From Away' theatre to see if there were seats left but oh well. We didn't want to book too much before so we could do what we wanted and not be rushed. So this was great, we bought those seats about an hour before the show started so we grabbed our dinner at Shake Shack and then went to the show! We enjoyed it!

That concluded our great day in NYC!
