doo doo doo

I have been an awful blogger and been MIA! so sorry to my 2 readers! It is summer time and it feels great! We've been outside playing, going for walks, eating yummy fruit, going to the park and other fun stuff. Gosh, I love summer. I wish it could be summer then fall, then summer and fall. over and over. last night after being hot all day we got a thunderstorm with thunder and lightening! it was great!!! i love days like that.
so last weekend, Brian and I were childless for not one...but 2 nights! We had a GREAT time! WE honestly missed Kennedy and it was weird to be so carefree and without schedules! We shopped, hot-tubbed, ate out, saw Indiana Jones, went to the waterpark, ate out more and explored our resort! Great times with my guy. Everyday I know what I married, but when we are alone together, just hanging out, I realize why I love and marry this guy. He is so great to me. I just love talking to him.

Then, earlier this week, It was my friends birthday and there was a surprise party for her. It was fun...but also a little weird as I was the only married one there. Kinda strange hot-tubbing and swimming and hanging out with single people again! It was great though, it was all my old friends from high school so it was so great to catch up. the last of us were just chatting until 3. Gotta love those campfire heart to heart talks. I miss my friends and being single and footloose and free but i LOVE coming home to my hubby and my baby. This is where I am meant to be. This is what fits.

gotta run......

Okay, if you only have two readers, who's the other one? :)

I too enjoyed the weather, I see some rainclouds rolling in, the lawn needs it. Let's both hope they roll away before lunch time!

Love ya, congrats on still being happily married. Isn't it grand?

Me! Pick me! LOL! I love reading about your life.

Speaking about thunderstorms....we got one right now. The kids should be walking through the door any minute from school with squeals of delight and soaked. I best get out the towels.

P.S. I bet you are inspiring to your single friends on what a marriage and family should be like and will and CAN be like for them. YAY! to happy marriages.

And double YAY! to whomever is able to give you and your hubby some time a lone to reconnect without the kids. Not only did my husband and I not get a honeymoon, but we have never been without the kids over night once. Not ever. 20 years and still counting. LOL! It sure will be weird when that day comes......

Never!! 20 years! That is crazy. i sure hope you get away soon Lynn, it really truly helps you be better in every way. I feel like a better mother when I come home because I've missed her and its good for the husband/wife to reconnect and remember they are the glue....if you were close, i'd even watch your kids!
