While we were in Edmonton for Thanksgiving, I was telling my mom about Brian's denturist seminar in San Antonio and how I thought it would be fun to go with him, and she said, you should go!!
Well, she didn't have to tell me twice! (actually she did! I was feeling guilty to go on another trip with Brian and have my parents watch the girls, but they pushed me into and they love to watch the girls!)
I even had enough of my own credit card points for my flight, so it was pretty sweet to all of a sudden book a trip to San Antonio to go with Brian!
We left Thursday morning, flew all day and arrived in the warm Texas sun! We got some quick dinner and headed to bed! Friday and Saturday 8-5 was Brian's seminar, I dropped him off and hung out. I read my book, explored, did a bit of shopping and relaxed. I loved the riverwalk so I took him back Friday night.
We loved walking all around it, as the sun set, and had dinner on the patio overlooking the water in perfect temps having the most delicious steak dinner ever! It was one our favourite dates of all time. Just a perfect evening. Saturday I worked out at the hotel where he had his seminar (ours didn't have one) and did more of the same. Saturday night we went back to the riverwalk since we loved it so much. I looked up lots of places to go dancing and other fun things but they were either a far drive away or didn't start the live music until 10pm and we had to be up at 3am on Sunday to catch our flight, so that didn't sound fun. Sunday morning, up early and we were in Calgary by 1 in the afternoon. Had a quick nap then met my parents in Red Deer for dinner to swap the kids.
When we got back, poor Lexi got sick with a terrible ear infection. A fever and lots of pain made for a sad little girl.
Kennedy helped Dad clean out the garage in style!
