skiing

Kennedy went skiing for the first time last year and did one half day lesson. This year, Brian has really been trying to get her into it. She is LOVING it!! Because she is in grade 2, they get a cheap season's pass to a few of the mountains here! Its pretty sweet. Her pass was $20 and she can now ski as much as she/we like! Nakiska is the best option because its the closest and smallest mountain which is good for learning. I haven't skiied with her yet, but Brian tells me she is doing amazing! She doesn't need any help anymore, she loves to go fast and her stopping and turning is improving! Mostly Brian has taught her and she's done one lesson (which happened to be with her cousin Kami!!)  We are happy she loves it and has gotten so good! Now, we just need to start Lexi skiing so we can have family ski trips!

While Brian and Kennedy skiied at Nakiska, Lexi and I went along too and did the tube park. Its a toboggan hill with inner tubes. It was a blast! Lexi loved it. It was a pretty short ride down, but it was actually really fun. We did that for a while, had lunch with Brian and Kennedy and then lexi slept in the van while I read while we waited for them to be done skiing. It was a long fun day!
