the other Jessica!

I don't plan to recap all that I missed on the blog, but I don't want to forget this. In March, Brian's niece, Jessica came to live with us. We needed a secretary at Brian's office, and she had time on her hands now that she was no longer in school. She was preparing for a mission, so it was a temporary thing for her to come help us out, move away from home and be closer to her friends. We made an arrangement that in exchange for rent/food, she would babysit for us. It was a total win for us! She even offered to babysit overnight so Brian and I could go to Banff to ski and stay in a hotel! My girls fell in love with her. It was like having a big sister that could drive, take them swimming, to the movies, out for icecream, to the park and lots of other cool places. She did so much with them, and us.  She often took the girls to the pool with her friend Chris. Her and I became great friends, we talked lots and really got to know each other. With Brian working late so much, it was so nice to have an adult around in the evenings to talk to. I can't even explain how much I enjoyed her being here.

Us at the Carrie Underwood concert.

She made coloured spaghetti with the girls- seriously- she is so awesome!

this was taken on Brian's birthday weekend. She told us to leave- so we went to Calgary for the weekend and she was the mom! She took them to a petting zoo near here.

She is a girl that likes to find adventures and have fun. She made all us girls jump on the trampoline in the pouring rain in the summer. (Brian stayed inside and video'd it.)

She is the original Jessica Livingstone, I am the married in one ;) It was quite funny having two Jessica Livingstone's living under the same roof. She mostly attended YSA, but when she would come to Enrichment with me, my ward found it CRAZY that there were two Jessica Livingstone's. Once, her bishop called asking for her and asked me about my mission plans. I was a little confused at first. lol

She was the BEST person for the job at Brian's office. SERIOUSLY!! the previous secretary (that we fired when we bought the business) did an amazing job at messing everything up. She was terrible. 7 months of accounting messups made for a HUGE job for jess!!! I was not willing to leave my kids and work and we needed a competent, responsible person we could trust to help us fix it all. She was fabulous at fixing the books. We owe her big.

She lived with us for 6 months! It was crazy how fast the time went by! I cried when she left. It was so hard to see her go. Now looking at these pictures, it makes me sad and I miss her. For over 2 weeks, Kennedy and Lexi asked where she was everyday. At dinner, they set her a plate.

Now, she is on her mission for our Church in Ogden, Utah. I know she will be amazing, because thats just who she is! We are lucky we got to know her so well.
