chore bucket

Its probably way past time I got Kennedy into doing regular chores. She helps out a lot- setting the table, taking out recycle, clearing the table, cleaning her room etc. but I also wanted to teach her about helping more in the house.
So, I took popsicle sticks and wrote a chore on orange, an activity on green and purple is for Lexi so she doesn't feel left out.

They are things like
-wipe the banister
- wipe two walls
-wipe down bathroom sink
-put all shoes away
-wipe back door

I can just give her a lysol wipe and let her work

Then, everyday, she can pick an activity for doing her chore

-read 3 books with mom
-sing 3 songs
-play simon says
-hide and seek
-make a fort
-practice writing letters

I'm excited to try it out....

What ideas do you have for your 5 year old??

Great idea! I need to try that. Our girl does a lot of similar chores along with dusting, helping fold the laundry or even helping sort colors before the wash. We have norwex clothes so I get her to wipe windows too.
So fun to see them grow up and be able to help.
