a fishy story

So, last Saturday, Brian and I took Kennedy to the mall. We looked at 2 different pet stores because Kennedy loves to see the animals. Dogs, cats, fish, bunnies, everything! So she also played at the indoor playground, we got some lunch and we decided we would buy her a fish. It sounded fun. They were cheap and she would love it. So, we bought 3 fish- simple little goldfish, took them home and put them in a bowl. We thought, this is great! 3 fish and a schwak load of food that would last 15 years- for like $8! Kennedy was so excited. We were thrilled she was so happy and it was so cheap!

Then, they started to swim much slower. They were swimming very near the bottom. By morning, they were dead. Such a sad story! As we learned later- you must TREAT THE WATER!!! something about purifying the chlorine out. Well, Brian and I are no fish people, so they really should have told us that at the store. Before church, she thought they were still sleeping and she was even really quiet when she would go see them. During her nap, we dumped them and Brian told her they were on vacation. She asked for them quite a bit for the next day or two, now she has forgotten. We plan on buying her more and taking care of the water next time!
