hoping

For a very very very nice person. Today, after work, I went grocery shopping without a child. So I'm loading it all in to my car and then I return my cart (like the good citizen that I am) and then run back to my car and drive to my mom's house to pick up Kennedy. As I'm getting in the car it occurs to me that I don't remember where I put my purse. A very weird thought to have....but whatever....i started looking. Well, after a thorough search I discover it is nowhere to be found in the car. I realize that it must be in the cart still at Wal-mart!!! Insert panic attack here. I quickly run inside to call them and a lovely girl from customer service runs outside to look. No luck. I drive back to search while my mom apparently called my dad and brother-in-law who were close to the store to go look. After about an hour of searching, I call all my credit cards to cancel them all the while trying to hold in tears for my loss. There was actually quite a bit of cash in there from tips this week at work and my Christmas money and my shoe-store gift cards. I'm so totally bummed and mad at myself. I don't even understand how I could not notice my purse in the cart.

I've definitely been praying for a good Samaritan to see my address on my license and find me on white-pages.com or something brilliant. oh......so sad.

What! There's more to the story?? Please can we know? I hope it's good.

This post just made me sick to my stomach for you. I know exactly how it feels to have lost something such as your purse.....your whole LIFE is in there.

Dean and I once found a purse in a shopping cart (jammed in there between all the other carts stacked together......we wondered how the person next in line to put their cart in there didn't notice it in the one in front...) and we turned it in to the Walmart customer service. There was money, cell phone, glasses, etc. We felt SO bad for the woman who must of been panicking. We will pray that someone found your purse and is just SLOW about returning it. : D
