play time

I was sitting here killing time on the computer with Kennedy playing beside me. She wanted up on my lap, then proceeded to put both hands on my face and turned it so I was looking at her. It took about 4 times, but I got the hint: she wanted to play. There was like this voice in my head that said, Jessica get off the dumb computer and enjoy the precious time to play with your daughter. So I did just that. Now, as you most likely know, playing with a one year old is tricky. It's not as if you have a game with rules, like house or school. Our playing is mostly tickling. Kennedy's laugh has turned into a toddler laugh. not a baby giggle but real laughs. I LOVE to make her laugh. Then I would make her fly in the air while lifting her with my feet on her tummy. songs and some more tickling. she's getting the hand gestures for "Popcorn Popping" and its so stinkin cute. I have been thinking lately that time sure flies, and mostly, we don't do a whole lot. I love to have lazy days at home. So, I spend lots of time with Kennedy. We go to the gym every morning, come home, play a bit and clean, make lunch then Kennedy has a nap and I blog read, check email and other "jessica" things. I enjoy nap time cuz its "me" time. When Brian is home, my groove is all thrown off. The other day he was home really early because he only had one exam and I made him go out! How crazy psycho am I?? Its not that I don't love to spend time with him, but it had been a crazy morning  of teaching aerobics, and running all around and I just wanted to relax by myself (I also had one cupcake left that I didn't want to share). Yah, I'm weird, but I love my routines. THe afternoon is slower and maybe we run to Walmart then pick Daddy up at the bus stop so I can go to work. Brian and Kennedy love spending time together and when I come home, he's so excited to tell me all she did and what she can say and so on. Its so cute to see him so animated telling cute stories of our little girl. I just love these 2. I enjoy only having one child right now that I can really spend one on one time with.

Anyway, rambling on.....Brian and I made a picnic table together! I've been dreaming of this for a while now, and he was so busy last summer it didn't get done. But he made it this year and I love it. We still need to putty the screw holes and then I will stain it, but doesn't it look great??

anyway, kinda a random post! So many things are going on in my head lately.
catch ya later! Jessica

Where do you get the blueprints for a picnic table?! that's really amazing. (James and I are staring at it with our mouths open) What color are you staining it?

I like my routine too. Since James has been off school it has felt like a week of 'Saturdays' and my routine is so scrambled it's making me crazy.

I spend too much time on the computer some days too. Bad habit!

The table looks great Brian and Jessica! it's really easy to forget to put enough time aside to be "play time" , but it's so worth it though!
