Easter recap...

{Warning: long post}

It was a great Easter! I am not totally happy with my photos, it was quite dark in the house, especially when we were downstairs. I'll have to play with them before I scrapbook them, but we had a great time. Friday afternoon, Brian and I dyed eggs with Kennedy. I bought this kit that had sponges on a stick and she thought it was great to dip it in the dye and dab at the eggs. We really had fun teaching her and doing this as a family.
On Saturday, Brian had a much deserved guys' day with his BFF that he hardly ever sees while I worked all day and night so Kennedy spent the day with Aunty Becky and Uncle Ernesto and a bit with Nana. (thanks again guys!).

On Sunday morning when Kennedy woke up at 9:30 the Easter Bunny had come! She would find an egg and just had to open it up before she put it in her basket. She finally got the hang of it and would run to the egg and put them in her basket. Again, very fun to watch her get the hang of things. SHe had a sore tummy after that so next on the agenda was snuggling with dad while I made, ate and cleaned up breakfast. I wasn't quite sure who was enjoying this more. so stinkin cute!

once things were better in the tummy department, it was like making up for lost time- running around everywhere eating pancakes and her easter chocolate! after a quick bath we put on her new Easter dress that Daddy bought her (our new tradition is that daddy and kennedy go shopping together and buy a new dress) which was adorable. THe shoes he got didn't fit (he thinks size goes by age but she is size 4). anyway.....and went out to take pictures. I loved being outside in the gorgeous Spring weather with my little family looking all cute! got a few good ones.

Please excuse the messy yard. It was really windy a week or so ago and it blew open our shed of recycled cardboard and things to burn (aka:garbage)
I would have changed the angle, but Brian took these photos.

(I love that last one with her tongue sticking out!)

(this one is blurry-but I love it because they are both jumping!)
Sunday night was our family dinner. I made these cute Easter baskets and the fruit "flower" basket. Lots of yummy food was around. Everyone was here for dinner and we had a great time. We played a little game of "Do you know your Easter CAndy?".  WIth your eyes closed, you had to guess what it was you were eating. CAn you tell the differene between whoppers and maltesers or Hershey Eggies and CAdbury Mini Eggs?? tricky!

Overall, a FANTASTIC Easter weekend. I loved it! I hope your Easter was great!

Looks like you had a great Easter! I love the fruit/flower arrangement, I was just looking on ediblearrangements.ca the other day and thinking that there were some really cute ideas there, and then you went and did it! So creative - love it!

Hey Jess - Love the tradition too! Perry's SIL did that all growing up and now his brother does it with his girls...great memories for them all!
