2008

Here are the collages I made for 2008. I saw them on Talia's blog and I just fell in love. I made them a while back, sent them to Costco and made a mini-album out of them. It turned out to be a project I didn't like. The overall look was nice, but the design was faulty. See how she does them in an acordian style side by side? Well, I took that idea but did it up and down so I could hang it in my scrapbook room. Long story short, I took too many shortcuts and it kept falling down because the ribbon didn't go all the way through. I re-sent the pictures to Costco last week so I could make another one. I'll show you the finished project when I get around to actually making it! I absolutely love this idea. It shows a year in pictures all in one spot. It was easy to do and I really enjoyed making them. I'm excited already to make another for 2009. What will this year bring??
I use photoshop elements to make the collages. I kinda taught myself how to do it. There are lots of blogs out there with photoshop tricks, one especially I found useful was Rebecca's. (scroll to the bottom)

I love looking at these pictures because 2008 held a lot of "firsts"
- Kennedy's first airplane trip
- First Mother's Day for me
- First Father's Day for Brian
- Kennedy's first birthday
- my first triathalon
- Kennedy learnt to crawl and walk
- First time playing in the snow
- We built our first snowman

I can't even imagine what 2009 will bring!

enjoy!
