Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve afternoon, we went out to Andrew and Kris's house for lunch, then just a quick walk down the street to go tobagganing. The girls loved it-- Tyson not so much ;) It was his first time and he was more interested in the playground at the bottom.

Then we headed back to Andrew/Kris and hung out till my parents arrived. Becky and Ernesto were at the Perlas. We made lots of appetizers for dinner. While Kris did the cooking, the girls were dying to go skating which was right by the tobaggan hill, so we walked to the skate pond. I got Papa to come too, he helped tie skates and slid around on his boots trying to catch the girls and I. They are both good skaters and nobody could catch Kennedy, including me on skates! That was fun! We had a lovely "dinner" of appetizers and played a few games before calling it a night.

cuddling...silly boys.

Back to Nana and Papa's for new jammies! Plus, we did something else I LOVED that will be a new tradition. We all sat together in the glow of the Christmas Tree lights and read the Christmas story in Luke 2, then sang Christmas carols. The girls loved it. It was a very special calm moment for me. I loved just sitting there with my little family and my parents enjoying the spirit of the scriptures and then singing together.

then we set out cookies and milk for Santa and some carrots for the reindeer and off to bed we went in excitement for Christmas morning to arrive!
